How does it work?
See our acupuncture treatments page to learn more about how acupuncture works.
What does acupuncture feel like?
The needles that are used in acupuncture sessions are thin, sterilized, stainless-steel, and single-use.  As the needle is inserted into the body, typically one feels the de qi sensation.  This can be dull, aching, tingling or heaviness, in a local or nearby area.  In general, acupuncture is found to be a thoroughly relaxing experience.

How many times should I get acupuncture?
In general, I would recommend at least four to six treatments.  However, depending on the length and severity of the condition for which you are seeking treatment, this number may vary.  A more accurate assessment is made during the first appointment.

Do you take insurance?
Insurance is not currently accepted here.  However, I can provide you with the necessary paperwork to submit to your insurance company, which may be required for reimbursement.
