I do accept Blue Cross Blue Shield plans and acupuncture is usually covered by Flex Spending and Health Savings Accounts.

If you have an insurance plan that covers acupuncture that is not BCBS, I am always happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to them for direct reimbursement. (This depends on the insurance and reimbursement is not guaranteed.)

  • Often patients feel a slight achy sensation once the needle is inserted. Most patients find treatments to be relaxing and fall asleep frequently.

  • This depends on your goals and the condition for which you are seeking treatment.

Four to six weekly treatments: I usually recommend this schedule for acute and chronic conditions and then I re-evaluate.

Two treatments a week for 2-3 weeks: I recommend this frequency if you are one of the following patients:

You are under extreme stress .

    You are experiencing severe pain.

It is very difficult for you to fall and/or stay asleep.

You are in the process of quitting smoking.

Looking for preventative acupuncture? Come in monthly or every 6 weeks for a tune-up!

  • I often see patients with acute and chronic pain disorders, headaches, digestive issues, menstrual issues and infertility. Patients are frequently under some degree of stress so sleep issues, anxiety, sadness, grief, and irritability are often a focus of treatment. More information on this can be found here.
